ECR Finland is lead and managed by key companies operating in the FMCG market, such as SOK corporation, Kesko and Lidl.
The initiative drives valuable work developing the value chain in several ERC Community core areas such as food waste and trace-ability.
Suppliers are involved in the development of these areas driving tight co-operation between industry operators thus resolving industry related issues before they even rise up.
The Finnish grocery sector is worth about 17 billion euros. In Finland there are about 800-1000 suppliers and about 70-80 retailers and food service sector operators.
The Finnish food and drink industry’s turnover is about 18 billion euros. Industry imports cover 4,5 billion and exports 1,5 billion euros.
